An application for the registration of an FIR against PML-N leaders, including Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, has been submitted in Faisalabad on blasphemy claims against them.
Nominated individuals include Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, PML-N Supreme Leader Nawaz Sharif, and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz. The application for FIR was submitted at the Madina Town police station in Faisalabad, and it has been filed against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
Rana Sanaullah’s comments during a talk show on a private television channel were the catalyst for the filing of an application for the registration of an FIR against PML-N officials.
Rana Sanaullah had previously stated that receiving Nawaz Sharif [on his return from overseas] was a more virtuous act than attending Hajj.
Awan claimed that the blasphemous speech was made at the demand of two other persons, Khurram Dastagir and Hamza Shehbaz, according to the plaintiff Shehbaz Awan.
He insisted that all of the suspects named had committed blasphemy against the Hajj. He claimed that the remarks made by the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) damaged the feelings of Muslims.
Furthermore, he asserted that the nominated suspects made an attempt to have a column from the affidavit prepared by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) removed, which would have required a candidate to certify the finality of Muhammad’s Prophethood (PBUH).
The complainant sought the filing of a criminal case against the nominated suspects under Articles 295(A), 295, 296, and 297 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), as well as other provisions of the law.
