Hadiqa Kiani is a household name in Pakistan and known as one of Pakistan’s most powerful female vocalists. The singer has ability to sing in several languages and to captivate crowds all over the world. ‘Boohey Barian’ by Hadiqa Kiani appears to be a fan favourite, particularly among audiences on the opposite side of the border.
Hadiqa Kiani noted on Instagram that ‘Boohey Barian’ has picked up a second time by an Indian vocalist. The original artist’s work has completely omitted from the credits. In a note she said, “Another day, another shameless rendition of my song. No one has asked for my consent. I haven’t paid any royalties.”
Moreover, she went to say, “As the singer put it, They’re just using the song that my mother wrote. I recorded as a way to make quick money. She slammed the Indian artists for stealing her compositions without authorization.”
Furthermore, Kiani reminded her fans that she always makes sure to get the rights to a song before performing a cover version of it. Basically, obtaining permission from the original artist or paying a royalty are the right things to do.
