I committed a sin by casting Mahira Khan in ‘Sadqay Tumhare’, says Khalil-Ur-Rehman

Famous Pakistani writer Khalil-Ur-Rehman Qamar holds a sour view of the well-known actress Mahira Khan. A fictional character Shanno based on Khalil-Ur-Rehman’s real life love story appeared in the actress’ most recent drama ‘Sadqay Tumhare‘.

The 59 years old writer posted a screenshot of the message and said he will curse himself for casting Mahira. When I put her in a highly sacred part in my Sadqay Tumhare, I’ll always cursed for the sin I made.

Khalil-Ur-Rehman used an old Mahira Khan’s tweet to explain his ‘hate’ for the actress. Whereas, she accused him of verbally assaulting human rights campaigner Marvi Sirmed on national television in March 2020. I think she was going for a more serious tone with the captions for the videos.

As Khalil-Ur-Rehman put it, this is Mahira’s tweet, which she made following the Marvi Sirmed incident. Moreover, the writer went on to say that he had lost all respect for the star as a result of her controversial remark.

Furthermore, Adnan Malik is the actor who plays the key part in the biographical drama. Whereas, he has previously referred to as a transgender by the writer.
