It has announced that Fast and Furious 10 (Fast X) director Justin Lin will not return. Just a few days into filming, the director of the long-running action series abruptly walked away from the project. The filmmaker and Universal Studios have reportedly parted ways amicably over creative disputes.
In a message issued, Justin Lin announced his resignation from the film, which has referred to as ‘Fast X’. He said, “as a result of Universal’s support, I have decided to stand down as director of ‘Fast X’. However, i shall continue to serve as a producer.”
He further said, “the fact that I was a part of the creation of the most diverse movie franchise in history. Thank you to the cast, crew and studio for your support and welcome me into the Fast family. I shall never forget it.
Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’ (2006), ‘Fast Five’ (2011), ‘Fast and the Furious 6’ (2013) and ‘F9’ (2021) have all directed by him. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges and Sung Kang will all appear in the 10th film.
Furthermore, the movie “Fast X” will released on May 19th, 2023.
