Transgenders approach LHC to stop broadcasting of film ‘Dum Mastam’

Following the inclusion of anti transgenders dialogue in the film ‘Dum Mastam‘, a petition filed in the Lahore High Court to prevent broadcast of film. It has produced by prominent actor Adnan Siddiqui.

At this context, a petition has heard in the Lahore High Court. It requested that the film ‘Dum Mustam’ prevents from show and broadcast. The federal government and other parties have served with notifications from the court and they have asked to respond.

The plea filed by transgender Zanaya Chaudhry has heard by the Lahore High Court. The petitioner said that in the film ‘Dum Mustam,’ words have uttered against transgenders. This was in violation of the law.

Furthermore, after the airing of the film ‘Dum Mastam’, transgenders have illustrate as an uneducated people. This is completely against our society.
