Sheikh Rasheed, the head of the Awami Muslim League, has accused Asif Ali Zardari, the co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), of being involved in the death of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
This, he claimed, while speaking at a public gathering organized by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at Minar-e-Pakistan.
Asif Ali Zardari, according to the former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed, is responsible for the deaths of Benazir Bhutto and Shahnawaz Bhutto, who was poisoned in Paris. Rasheed further said that Zardari took over the PPP after deposing Benazir Bhutto in a coup from within the party.
Sheikh praised the people of Lahore for turning out in big numbers for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf public gathering. Sheikh Rasheed recalled his recent travel to Umrah with the King of Saudi Arabia, during which he witnessed women crying for Imran Khan at Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH).
The former interior minister accused Asif Ali Zardari, the co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, of being responsible for Benazir Bhutto’s murder.
He predicted that if something happened to Imran Khan, a civil war will erupt in Pakistan.
Following his resignation as prime minister, Imran Khan has turned his attention to the people. His rallies in Peshawar, and later in Karachi, were a resounding success, with thousands of people turning out to show their support.
To accommodate the rally, three different enclosures have been set up for it: general enclosures for the general public, ladies enclosures for the ladies, and family enclosures for the families.
