Toyota announced to launch its new electric bZ4X SUV next month

Toyota aspires to lead the way and announced to launch electric BZ4X SUV in Japan on May 12, 2022. Toyota and Subaru collaborated on the development on Toyota’s first real electric vehicle.

A Toyota spokesperson states that the Motomachi facility uses environmentally friendly utility electricity derived from recyclable sources to construct its vehicles. It will be able to achieve carbon neutrality with the aid of its new production facility and electric vehicle.

5,000 bZ4X models will sell in Japan by 2022. An estimate of 3,000 units in the third quarter and another 2,000 in the fourth quarter of this year. The price of the car ranges from $42,000 to $48,780.

Subcompact crossover SUVs such as the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID.4 are competitors of the all-electric bZ4X. The XLE and Limited versions are both available in the worldwide market. AWD and FWD powertrains are available in both models, allowing drivers to choose between the two.

There is a single 210 horsepower electric engine in FWD versions. Whereas there is a 214 horsepower electric motor in AWD vehicles. Batteries from Panasonic and CATL used in the FWD models, while cells from CATL used in the AWD variants.

With the introduction of the bZ4X SUV, Toyota has taken its first steps toward going electric. As demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, Toyota has expected to increase its EV offering.
