PM Shehbaz expresses determination to work closely with Saudi Arabia

On Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized his determination to collaborate closely with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to accomplish the two countries’ shared vision of the strategic relationship.

Sharif turned to Twitter to say that Pakistani-Saudi relations are unique and characterized by a high level of trust.

He also expressed gratitude to the Custodians of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their congratulations on his election as Premier.

In an earlier statement, Saudi arabia King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated Shehbaz Sharif on his appointment as Pakistan’s 23rd Prime Minister.

On the occasion of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s swearing-in, Saudi Arabia’s state-run news agency tweeted, “King Salman has extended a cable of congratulations to Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on his appointment as Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.”

A cable of congratulations was also issued to Sharif by his counterpart in the Kingdom, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who was chosen as Prime Minister last Sunday after receiving 174 votes in the National Assembly, according to the news agency.
