The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) hiked the price of electricity by Rs4.85 per unit on Friday, as part of the monthly fuel adjustment process.
According to a notification from the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), the increase in the power tariff has been issued in response to the monthly Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA).
Following a hearing on the Central Power Purchasing Agency’s (CCPA) petition, the power regulating authority reached its conclusion.
The amount will be reflected in April’s utility bills, according to the company, which also stated that the hike in electricity rates will place an additional strain on consumers.
According to the announcement, life insurance customers and K-Electric are exempt from the rate increase.
