Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will pay his respects at the Mazar-e-Quaid and also visit Chief Minister House during a day-long visit to Karachi today, marking the first visit by a prime minister to the city in five years.
Soon afterword of Shehbaz Sharif’s visit reached the provincial authorities, personnel from the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB) arrived at the tomb to conduct a cleanliness effort.
The SSWMB cleaned the roadways leading to the Mazar-e- Quaid’s VIP gates.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will pay a visit to Chief Minister House in Sindh, five years after his brother, previous Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, paid a visit to the place in 2017.
Since 2017, neither Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi nor Prime Minister Imran Khan has paid a visit to the Chief Minister’s House during their respective tenures.
After arriving in Karachi, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will greet Prime Minister Shehbaz when he arrives. In addition, the premier will meet with Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah at the Chief Minister’s House.
According to sources, the prime minister is expected to pay a visit to the Bahadurabad office of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) during his next visit to the port city.
