Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif and former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi have both submitted candidacy papers for the position of prime minister (PM) following the ousting of incumbent Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Maleeka Bokhari and Mr. Amir Dogar were the ones who received the PTI’s nomination papers for the prime minister’s position.
During a meeting of the party’s core committee, which was presided over by Imran Khan, the decision was made to select Shah Mahmood Qureshi as the party’s candidate for the prime ministerial position.
The unified opposition, on the other hand, has chosen Mian Shehbaz Sharif of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz as their joint candidate for the prime ministerial (PM) election, which is slated to take place on Monday.
Following Imran Khan’s ouster as prime minister of Pakistan next to a no-confidence vote, the National Assembly will elect a new prime minister the following day.
According to sources, the PML-N has acquired more than one nomination paper for the poll from the National Assembly’s office in preparation for the election.
