Following the announcement of the Supreme Court (SC) decision, Quaid Nawaz Sharif, the chief of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), telephoned the convener of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, according to reliable sources.
A telephonic conversation between Nawaz Sharif and MQM-P convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has taken place following the Supreme Court’s finding that the National Assembly (NA) deputy speaker’s ruling was illegal.

PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif congratulated Siddiqui on the Supreme Court’s decision and stated that the result represented a win for the Constitution, in which the MQM played a significant part.
In the future, Sharif stated a desire to further deepen his working relationship with the MQM-P leadership.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the leader of the MQM-P, stated that his political party will always respect the Constitution and promised the opposition of the MQM-P’s unwavering support. He confirmed that MQM-P legislators will take part in the vote on the no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan on April 9 if the motion passes.
