Following the resignation of Usman Buzdar, the leading leader of the Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q), Pervaiz Elahi, has outlined the party’s next electoral plan. Pervaiz Elahi was appointed Punjab chief minister (CM) following the resignation of Usman Buzdar.
PTI leader Pervaiz Elahi stated his optimism by expressing his belief that the Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan groups of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will now support him in the Punjab administration.
“I spoke with Jahangir Tareen and inquired about his well-being,” says the author. “The leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) are like brothers to me, and we have had fruitful talks.”
According to the senior politician, the PML-N and the PPP will also be included in the coalition going forward. He went on to say that he and Asad Qaiser had met with Tariq Bashir Cheema and that they will address his concerns about the South Punjab region.
As part of his announcement, he stated that the new Punjab government would be constituted in conjunction with Prime Minister Khan.
Usman Buzdar, the Punjab chief minister (CM), had earlier submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan, marking a significant step.
A tweet from Farrukh Habib, the State Minister for Information and Broadcasting, verified the story as being true.
In a post on his Twitter account, Farukh Habib stated that the issues with the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) had been resolved and that the party has announced that it will support Prime Minister Imran Khan ahead of the no-confidence motion in the government.
Following the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Prime Minister Khan decided to propose Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the new chief minister of Punjab.
