People want former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, and former president Asif Ali Zardari in prison, according to Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed.
Sheikh Rasheed lashed out at the opposition during a public gathering organized by the Amar Bil Maroof party at Parade Ground in Islamabad.
According to the interior minister, they [the opposition] had not spared the assets of Colonel Qaddafi, Saddam Hussein, or even Osama bin Laden’s family.
Having bore the pain of inflation and unemployment, as well as high energy and gas bills, the interior minister Sheikh Rasheed stated that the people of Pakistan want Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, and Asif Ali Zardari imprisoned for their looting.
Asad Umar, the Minister for Planning and Development, previously stated that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan is the leader of the Muslim Ummah and that he will be victorious in the elections.
Asad Umar, speaking at the Amar Bil Maroof demonstration in Islamabad on Sunday, said Prime Minister Imran Khan had raised his voice in support of Muslims around the world and against Islamophobia.
For Asad Umar, “Prime Minister Imran defended the case of Muslims with arguments, not with emotions.”
General elections are set for 2023, but Asad Umar asserted that the nation has been awoken and urged that Prime Minister Imran call for fresh elections to let the opposition know where the people stand on the issue.
