Dissident Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the National Assembly(MNAs) were requested to quit by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Sunday before they could voice their opposition to the government.
PM Imran Khan addressed the enraged Amar Bil Maroof crowd at the Parade Ground in Islamabad and called on the dissident PTI MNAs to quit and run in a fresh election before going against the administration of a party on whose ticket they were elected to the House of Representatives.
He also issued a warning to the party’s dissident lawmakers, saying that the nation would not forgive them if they voted against him in the vote on the no-confidence resolution. He also asserted that as conspiracies against the country are hatched, the consciences of PPP and PML-N legislators will be stirred as well.
In a recent interview, Prime Minister Imran Khan disclosed that “foreign elements” are involved in the attempts to bring down his government, and that “some of our own individuals” are being exploited in this effort.
With regard to the preceding administration, the premier stated that earlier leaders had strayed from the road of justice established by Allah and his Prophet (PBUH) and had resorted to bowing before the United States and the International Monetary Fund.
According to Prime Minister Imran Khan, the country has continued to get threats as a result of the conduct of the previous administration. “Governments in the country have been changed as a result of the cooperation of our own people,” he stated.
