On Friday, the Secretariat of the National Assembly sent critical guidelines to members of the House of Representatives ahead of the special session, which will include a vote on a no-confidence motion.
MNAs and ministers have been prohibited from bringing security guards and personal staff to the Parliament House during the forthcoming session of the National Assembly.
The MNAs will be required to park their automobiles in a designated parking lot, from where they will be transported to the Parliament Buildings through a shuttle service provided by the government.
Guests will be prohibited from entering the Parliament House building during the NA session, and the Secretariat has issued directions for enhanced security measures.
The security arrangements have been set in order to ensure the foolproof security of the MNAs. In addition, substantial deployments of law enforcement agencies will be made on the routes leading to the Parliament House, and access into the Red Zone by unauthorized persons will be rigorously forbidden.
Furthermore, the National Assembly has called for a joint parliamentary party session to be held at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, during which the strategy for the NA session will be determined, according to a press release.
In response to a request presented by the unified opposition for the purpose of tabling a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, the National Assembly session was summoned on March 25 by Speaker Asad Qaiser of Parliament.
