Pakistan Day is widely observed with patriotic zeal

To demonstrate the country’s military might and cultural diversity, a combined military parade will be staged in the capital today (March 23).

The parade included tri-service, paramilitary, and civil armed forces contingents.

A fly-past of the new J-10C fighter jets was one of the parade’s highlights. The J-10C aircraft were integrated into the Pakistan Air Force’s unit earlier this month.

Guests of Honor during the 48th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation saw the Pakistan Day Parade.

Pakistan Day has a rich history. The Lahore Resolution, passed in 1947, led to the creation of a distinct homeland for Muslims in South Asia. The Pakistan Resolution was approved on March 23, 1940.

After Fajr prayers, special dua ceremonies were done in mosques for the eradication of coronavirus and for the country’s unity, integrity, and prosperity.

The day began with a 31-gun salute in Ottawa and a 21-gun salute in each province. All important government buildings have the National flag.
