Engin Altan Düzyatan, the principal actor in the internationally acclaimed Turkish TV series “Resurrection: Ertugrul,” was awarded “best actor” by the British magazine SleekAsian.
Düzyatan’s fans held an honourable dinner for the legendary ghazi at the Royal Regency headquarters in London’s Stratford region.
Lords Qurban Hussain and Wajid Khan, Imran Hussain of the opposition Labor Party, Sajjad Karim, and Turkiye’s Consul General in London Bekir Utku Atahan also attended.

The series is set in 13th century Anatolia and depicts the era before the Ottoman Empire. It depicts Ertugrul Gazi, the empire’s founder’s father’s struggle.
The series depicts Erturul and his men fighting the Knights Templar and Mongol invaders.
