OIC conference: PM Imran Khan encouraging Muslim world to oppose Islamophobia

When delivering his keynote address at the 48th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference of Foreign Ministers in Islamabad on Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan proposed that the moot suggest ways in which the OIC can assist in bringing the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war to a close.

The prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, has expressed concern that the conflict will have terrible ramifications for the rest of the globe if it continues. “The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and China, as a bloc, advise how it may try and put an end to this war,” he proposed.

As a result of the conflict in Ukraine, the prime minister stated, “we are suffering from increased oil and gas prices.” He also called for early cessation of hostilities.

Imran Khan, the prime minister, spoke out against Islamophobia and asked the Muslim world to take steps to enhance Muslims’ public image.

“Europeans do not regard Jesus Christ in the same light as we see our Holy Prophet” (PBUH). “They are completely unable to comprehend Muslim sentiment,” he stated.

He expressed sadness that the absence of the rule of law is the most pressing issue confronting impoverished countries, given that $1.4 trillion is siphoned off from developing countries to affluent ones every year, according to him. “In the state of Madina, there was no one who was above the law,” he continued.

“Projecting Islamic principles is one of the goals of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. As PM Khan stated, “I believe that Islamic values have never been more threatened than they are today.” He went on to say that sex crime is the fastest growing crime in Pakistan, and that pornographic content available to children is wreaking havoc on society and family values, among other things.

He also spoke about the Kashmir and Palestine conflicts, noting that the Muslim Ummah has failed to make any significant contribution to their resolution. In light of our differences, he asserted, “our oppressors do not take us seriously.”

As the prime minister observed, despite the presence of a large Muslim community of 1.5 billion people, our voice has been powerless to prevent gross injustices against Kashmiris and Palestinians.

When asked about Afghanistan’s war-torn situation, he stated that “a stable Afghanistan is the best way to stop worldwide terrorism.”
