On Monday, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan stated that the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had achieved significant strides forward in public sector growth, particularly in the areas of health, education, and the economy.
During his speech here at the groundbreaking ceremony for a new 200-bed accident and emergency center at Pakistan Institute of Medical Science (PIMS) and another 300-bed Jinnah Hospital in Sector G-11/3, he said that no previous government had ever taken such steps for the welfare of the common man as the PTI government had.
The provision of the best facilities for emergency patients, according to the prime minister, was in keeping with meeting the needs of mankind.
As per international best practices, he stated that the high-quality medical facilities at PIMS and Jinnah Hospital would help to accommodate the expanding population of the capital’s metropolitan area.
In his remarks, he expressed delight that the new setup at PIMS would complement the existing healthcare facilities while also assisting in the reduction of the rising patient load in Islamabad and the surrounding suburbs.
He expressed gratitude to the Pakistanis living abroad who had sponsored the architectural designs for the PIMS emergency department.
Later, he stated that Jinnah Hospital was the first public sector healthcare facility, which occurred in 1985.
Imran Khan claimed that the government’s national health insurance card was the best public-sector program available and that it was even better than programs offered by wealthy countries.
“Creating an Islamic socio-welfare state was the vision that guided the establishment of Pakistan. “Our health insurance is a significant step forward in this regard, as it allows disadvantaged individuals to receive free medical treatment,” he explained.
He referred to the creation of a consistent education system as another landmark achievement by his administration, which he said was intended to foster solidarity among the next generation.
The foundation of the Rehtmatul Lil Alameen Authority, according to the prime minister, was a significant step forward in the development of the young generation’s capacity in accordance with the teachings and morals of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
When it came to the economy, he stated that all positive indicators were adding to the country’s financial stability.
Dr. Faisal Sultan, the Prime Minister’s Special Advisor on Health, stated that the new PIMS emergency ward and Jinnah Hospital would be state-of-the-art centers of healthcare.
He asserted that the government has made significant improvements in the quality of public healthcare institutions.
