During a speech on Sunday, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar announced an Rs8 billion Ramzan package to provide relief to the general public during the fasting month.
In a statement, the chief minister stated that Rs8 billion has been set aside for the package, which will see all basic food items available at subsidized rates at Ramazan Bazaars around the country.

He stated that a 10-kilogram flour bag will be offered for Rs375 and that 13 food products, including tomatoes, onions, and potatoes, will be available at subsidized rates at these markets, according to the minister.
According to CM Buzdar, a total of 317 Ramazan Bazaars would be operational across the province starting on the 25th of Shaban. According to him, the markets will be open from 9 a.m. till Iftar, or sunset.

He stated that the Ramazan package is intended to provide assistance to the most vulnerable members of society, and he pledged that he will personally oversee the implementation of the program.
Agricultural commodities such as fruits, vegetables, and pulses would be subsidized, according to the chief minister.
