PTI sent show-cause notices to 14 unhappy MPs

The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) issued show-cause notices to 14 dissident lawmakers for allegedly siding with the opposition. The notices came a day after the ruling party decided to take action against the lawmakers in advance of the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to the latest information, the dissident MPs have been given seven days to appear before Prime Minister Imran Khan of Pakistan.

The following PTI MNAs have been served with show-cause notices:

  • Noor Alam Khan (NA-27 Peshawar-I)
  • Dr. Muhammad Afzal Khan Dhandla (NA-98 Bhakkar-II)
  • Nawab Sher (Nawab Sher) (NA-102 Faisalabad-II)
  • Raja Riaz Ahmed (NA-110 Faisalabad-X)
  • Ahmed Hussain Deharr (NA-154 Multan-I
  • Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon  (NA-159 Multan-VI)
  • Muhammad Abdul Ghafar Wattoo (NA-166 Bahawalnagar-I)
  • Muhammad Abdul Ghafar Wattoo (NA-166 Bahawalnagar-I)
  • Aamir Talal Gopang (NA-186 Muzaffargarh-VI)
  • Sardar Riaz Mehmood Khan Mazari (NA-189 D.G.Khan-I)
  • Sardar Riaz Mehmood Khan Mazari (NA-189 D.G.Khan-I)
  • Wajiha Qamar 
  • Nuzhat Pathan
  • Ramesh Kumar Vankwani

According to the notification, the interviews provided to media outlets by these members indicate that they have resigned from the PTI, and as a result, they are required to appear before the party’s chairman.
