Pakistan vs Australia matches moved from Rawalpindi to Lahore

The Interior Minister, Sheikh Rasheed, confirmed on Friday that the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host the white-ball matches between Australia and Pakistan, which will begin on March 29.

“The T20 International and One-Day International (ODI) matches between Pakistan and Australia, which were scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi,  but now will be held in Lahore due to the delicate political situation in the federal capital,” Sheikh Rasheed said.

So far in the historic home series against Australia, Pakistan has played two Tests against the Australians. Neither the first nor second Tests were won by either team, both were drawn in Rawalpindi and Karachi respectively.

The third and final Test match of the series between the two sides will take place on March 21st.

It is important to note that players of the Australian white-ball team will arrive in Lahore on March 24, which is a Thursday.
