Prince William and his stepmother Camilla Parker have seen greeted with a kiss at the Commonwealth Day ceremony. A customary ceremony in London has attended by the four royals and Princess Alexandra to mark the special day.
In a rare display of affection among the Royals, Prince William greeted Camilla with a kiss as they waited for the procession to begin before taking their seats. Prince Charles and William’s wife Kate have also seen in the same embrace.
However, Queen Elizabeth is normally present but she had to skip the occasion. It was her first absence in over a decade as head of the Commonwealth.
There has a general consensus that her absence from the event was a preventive measure. It was a practical move to accommodate her travel plans, rather than the result of a new health condition.
Moreover, both Camilla and Kate looked stunning in Fiona Clare coat dresses and Philip Treacy hats. In a fitted blue coat dress by Catherine, the mother-of-three used her sapphire diamond jewellery set to accessorise her look. Her beautiful, free-flowing locks have styled in loose curls that have flawlessly coiffed.
Delivering a common future was the topic of this year’s service. It has meant to convey the Commonwealth’s ongoing commitment to making the world a more peaceful, prosperous and sustainable place. It was also the year of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
