Pakistan sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine at the “request of its government”. The humanitarian aid includes emergency medicines, electro-medical equipment, blankets, food, and other necessities, according to state-run Radio Pakistan.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi presented the aid to the Ukrainian ambassador. The Ukrainian ambassador thanked Qureshi and the Pakistani leadership for sending aid to the Ukrainian people.
As a responsible and peace-loving nation, Pakistan has always responded promptly to international appeals for assistance during crises and tragedies, according to the foreign minister.
He added this demonstrates Pakistan is a peaceful nation. “We encourage both countries to exercise prudence to spare lives.”
On the Russia-Ukraine war, FM Qureshi indicated last week that Pakistan would soon deliver humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
Aid will be delivered to Ukraine via Warsaw on C-130 aircraft, he told reporters.
