On the day of the vote of no confidence in the government, Ahsan Iqbal, Secretary General of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and a member of the National Assembly, called a gathering of 2 million people on Shahra-e-Dustur.
The declaration was made at a press conference held in Islamabad following the passage of the no-confidence resolution. Further, he asserted that the vote of no confidence in the government is not a movement for political change, but rather a movement of the people of Pakistan.
According to Ahsan Iqbal’s statement, all of Pakistan’s political and democratic forces are unified on a single platform, and they are united in their determination to oust the incumbent administration in order to safeguard the country’s Constitution and the interests of its citizens.
