In a previous report, sources stated that the opposition has also agreed to file a no-confidence motion against the Usman Buzdar government in Punjab. They went on to say that a no-trust motion might be introduced in the Punjab Assembly within 48 hours of its adoption.
On Tuesday, the National Assembly secretariat received a no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan, which was presented by members of the joint opposition. In addition, the opposition filed a requisition notice, requesting that the lower house of Parliament convene in order to debate the no-trust motion.
The no-trust motion was submitted in the National Assembly Secretariat by PML-N members Khawaja Saad Rafique, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Sanaullah, PPP members Naveed Qamar and Shazia Marri, and JUI-F member Shahida Akhtar Ali.
