Supermodel Gigi Hadid has announced that she will donate proceeds from fashion shows to Palestine and Ukraine. She announced through her Instagram post that she will donate for relief activities in war-torn countries.
Gigi Hadid is an important part of the catwalks of Fashion Shows for the past several weeks. She modeled for major brands in New York, Milan and Paris in 2022.
She wrote that she and her colleagues often offer new fashion collections in difficult times. Most of the time they do not have control over their work schedule but they want to help people in difficult situations. They will donate proceeds from the 2022 Fall Shows to help those affected by the war in Ukraine. They will also continue to help those who are facing similar situations in Palestine.
Last week, Argentine model Mika Arganaraz also expressed her griefs in an Instagram post. She wrote, “It feels weird when you’re working for fashion shows and there’s a war going on on the same continent. I will donate some of my proceeds from Fashion Week to aid organizations in Ukraine.”
Furthermore, big brands and retailers such as Chanel, Hermes and Louis Vuitton have suspended their businesses in Russia. Many designers are spreading awareness about the current situation in Ukraine through their recent collections.
