Govt to spend additional Rs500bn for development of south Punjab: Imran Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan stated on Sunday that the federal cabinet had resolved to spend an additional Rs500 billion for the development of the South Punjab region.

As part of his presentation to a large public assembly in Mailsi city today, Prime Minister Imran Khan promised an additional Rs500 billion in funding for the development of South Punjab. He also declared that he would introduce an amendment in the National Assembly to allow for the creation of the province of South Punjab.

It will be interesting to watch whether the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) endorse this initiative or not.” “Both [opposition] parties are calling for the establishment of South Punjab as a province for an extended period of time.”

Farmers received record incomes during the reign of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, according to Prime Minister Imran Khan (PTI). For each acre of maize harvest, the sharecroppers made between Rs40,000 and Rs50,000 in profit, whereas for each acre of the cotton crop, they made between Rs70,000 and Rs80,000 in profit.

Imran Khan stated that the government has also increased its fertilizer production and that a shipment of 100,000 tonnes of urea from China will arrive in the country the next week, among other things. He went on to say that the prosperity of farmers is the prosperity of the country.

In response to the opposition parties’ no-trust movement, Prime Minister Imran Khan stated that the opposition parties’ no-trust movement would fail.
