“I’d be in jail.” Serena Williams erupted over tennis’ double standards

When it came to the situation of German player Alexander Zverev, Serena Williams, the 23-time Grand Slam champion, expressed her disappointment by saying she was “really devastated.”

The application of a double standard is demonstrated in this instance. If I had been implicated in this case, I would have earned a prison sentence as a result of my involvement in this case said Serena Williams.

Serena Williams has been penalised in the US Open for anti-sports behaviour in the past, and she has been suspended from the tournament. If you listen to Serena Williams, who was speaking in a similar circumstance, she claims that she has faced more severe sanctions in the past for similar crimes.
As the former world number one went on to say, “This is a double standard,” and that “if I had been in their position, I would probably certainly have been imprisoned, and I am not joking about this at all.” A $751,500 punishment was levied against her, and she denounced the judgement as “a double standard.”

It should be noted that the German star became upset and flung a racket at the chair of the chair umpire, for which she was fined 40,000 and forbidden from competing in the Appleco event in the next year as a consequence.
