Peshawar Attack: PM says security agencies chasing terrorists with full force

Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the relatives of the dead of the Peshawar mosque attack, and he has asked for prayers for the recovery of the injured.

In a Twitter message, he stated that he had requested that the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) personally visit the families and attend to their needs.

Following the barbaric terrorist attack on the Peshawar Imam Bargah, the premier stated that he is personally monitoring operations and working with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and other security agencies.

According to Prime Minister Imran Khan, “We now have all of the information about the terrorists’ origins and we are pursuing them with all of our resources.”

According to the latest death toll from the bomb explosion at a Peshawar mosque in Qissa Khwani Bazaar, the total death toll has risen to 56, with more people succumbing to their injuries in the hospital.

As confirmed by a spokesperson for the Lady Reading Hospital – Peshawar, the death toll from the mosque blast has risen to 56. A total of 194 injured people have been transported to the hospital, with some of them in critical condition, the spokesperson added.

During Friday prayers at Jamia Mosque, which is located at Kocha – e – Rasladar Chowk in Qisa Khwani Bazar, a bomb went off inside the mosque.

Two assailants entered the mosque after opening fire on the two police officers who were stationed outside the building. As a result, one of the officers was killed on the scene, while the other was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, according to reports.
