Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed’s acquittal plea rejected in Dancing in Mosque Case

The court dismissed the defence of accused Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed in their case of dancing in mosque. They have both charged with dancing, shooting in Wazir Khan Mosque and disturbing the sanctity of the mosque.

A hearing has held at District Court Lahore to hear Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed’s appeal in the case of dancing in Wazir Khan Mosque. The pleas of accused Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed have both dismissed by the court.

According to the plea of the defendants in the case, Judicial Magistrate rendered an unambiguous judgement. The pleas of the defendants have rejected by the court in the interim ruling.

A video of the recording of a song by Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed went viral on social media during August 2020. Therefore, they were breaching the sanctity of the ancient Wazir Khan Mosque in Lahore. The video has highly criticised on social media, as well as in social and religious circles, when it released.

The actress and singer has charged with disturbing the sanctity of the Wazir Khan Mosque at the Akbari police station in Lahore. Whereas, legal proceedings have started against them.
