Pat Cummins, the captain of the Australian Test squad, has stated that despite the absence of three players from the Pakistani team, they do not consider the team to be weak.
Pat Cummins stated in a press conference that he will select the final XI after inspecting the pitch at the Rawalpindi stadium, adding that he may choose to field two spinners and three fast bowlers in the match against Pakistan.
Pindi Stadium’s pitch, according to him, has been under inspection for the past two days.
The Australian captain acknowledged that Pakistan does not have three players, but he did not characterise the team as weak.
He went on to say that it is exciting to play in front of a packed stadium; the atmosphere is a little different due to security, but once the toss is thrown, the attention will be on cricket.
Should be remembered that the first of three Test matches between Pakistan and Australia will be played in Rawalpindi starting on Wednesday.
