The price of gas has risen by Rs 68 per MMBTU

According to the sources, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has approved an increase in gas rates of Rs 68 per MMBTU.


The average price of natural gas has been set at Rs 670.37 per million British thermal units (MMBTU). Consumers will bear a financial burden of Rs 227 billion as a result of the increase in gas prices.

Sui Northern Gas Company is the subject of an OGRA review decision. Earlier, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) increased the price of a household cylinder of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs 318 from March 1.


The price of LPG has been hiked by Rs 27 per kilogramme of the gas consumed. The price has increased to Rs. 233.78 paise per unit. Following the implementation of the new pricing, the price of a household cylinder has increased.
