General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), said on Tuesday that the Balochistan youth is extremely brilliant and that they should take advantage of the possibilities being offered for their education and skill development.
Chief of Army Staff General Bajwa encouraged youth to join local law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and contribute to the overall security and stability of the region.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, the Army Chief paid a visit to Turbat, where he received a detailed briefing on the security situation in Balochistan as well as border control measures being implemented.
The Chief of Army Staff praised the troops’ morale and operational preparedness, and he expressed satisfaction with the successful operations against terrorists.
Afterward, CAOS Gen Bajwa paid a visit to the University of Turbat, where he held an in-depth interactive session with a large number of representatives from all segments of society in District Kech, including local leaders, notables, tribal elders (including women), students, lawyers, and other professionals.
On this occasion, the Army Chief urged the youth to join local law enforcement (LEAs) organizations and contribute to the security and stability of the region by becoming members of the military.
According to the COAS General Bajwa, “Peace and prosperity of Balochistan are the highest priorities, and the Pakistan Army would do everything possible to ensure a calm atmosphere for population-centric socio-economic projects in Balochistan.”
He finished by saying that the people of Balochistan have made significant sacrifices in the name of development and stability and that the true potential of the province will be realized via a Comprehensive National effort.
On the previous day’s arrival in Turbat, the COAS was greeted by Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali, commander of the Quetta Corps.
