President Vladimir Zelensky of Ukraine has stated that talks with Russia have not delivered the outcomes that were intended.
Vladimir Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, said in a statement that Russia had made its position plain and that the country desired an end to the violence in eastern Ukraine.
He stated that Ukraine had failed to obtain the intended goals in its negotiations with Russia, as he put it. Following discussions with the returning delegation, a decision on the next round of negotiations with Russia will be made.
During the talks with Russia, President Vladimir Zelensky stated that there were some encouraging signs, but that Russia continued to launch assaults during the discussions.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko also stated that he believed Russia was attempting to raise pressure on Ukraine, but that he would not spend time since he would not be influenced by such measures.
