An investigation has launched against Bollywood actor and producer Mahesh Manjrekar, who has accused of distributing pornographic scenes of kids in a Marathi film. Sections 292 and 34 of the IPC, POCSO section 14, IT sections 67 and 67B have cited in the case.
Accordng to reports, actor and filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar had a charge filed against him at Mumbai’s Mahim police station. He has allegedly exposed pornographic sequences of underage minors in his Marathi film.
Social activist Seema Deshpande filed a petition claiming that pornographic scenes have reportedly aired in a Marathi film. Whereas, children are clearly to see in the clips. Therefore, the Mumbai Sessions Court ordered a FIR and an inquiry into the matter.
Counsel for Seema Deshpande stated that the CRPC has ordered to undertake an investigation under Section 153 by the court. The inquiry into involvement of Mahesh Manjrekar in the crime of children’s pornographic scenes is still ongoing and he has not yet arrested.
