One of the most recent incidents occurred in Karachi’s Lyari neighborhood, where six people were injured when a gas cylinder exploded in a residential structure. The victims included women and children.
According to the police, the incident occurred in the Bihar Colony area of Lyari after a cylinder exploded in the early hours of Saturday morning, inflicting burn wounds on six individuals, including women and children, in the vicinity.
In a statement, they stated that the injured had been transported to the Civil Hospital for treatment.
Several incidents involving gas cylinder explosions in the city have been reported recently, resulting in human and infrastructure casualties, primarily as a result of the use of underestimated cylinders.
A cylinder explosion in Karachi recently claimed the lives of at least three individuals, including two children and a lady. Except it, six people were injured in the accident.
According to rescue personnel, the explosion occurred inside a shop in the Mosamyat area of the port city.
The moment rescue personnel and ambulances were dispatched to the scene of the explosion, three people were pronounced dead at the scene and three others died later at the hospital where they had been taken.
The force of the explosion was so great that it completely demolished three shops and a vehicle parked nearby.
