Flags of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were torn down by police at several locations throughout Karachi.
Party banners were taken down from the Shara-e-Faisal, Star Gate, and Baloch Colony neighborhoods.
According to the sources, the crane that the PTI personnel had brought with them was also seized by the police. Members of the Sindh Assembly Raja Azhar, Adeel Ahmed, and others arrived at the Star Gate after receiving the necessary information.
The leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf reached out to the SHO of the surrounding area and notified him of the removal of the flags. In response to the failure to return the crane and other equipment, MPA Raja Azhar stated that the group would hold a protest demonstration against the police.
Ali Zaidi, President of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Sindh and Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, has claimed that PTI workers in Karachi are being prevented from hoisting party flags because the Zardari Mafia is afraid of the PTI’s Sindh Rights March, which he described as “a threat to their lives.”
In his statement, Ali Zaidi claimed that the administration was being utilized against PTI workers and officials and that the police were harassing them.
He further stated that land belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders was being confiscated in Sindh, but that the administration was refraining from employing such techniques at this time.
