Moscow Visit: PM Imran Khan pays tribute to fallen Soviet soldiers of WWII

A floral wreath was laid at the memorial of World War II heroes by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday during his two-day visit to Moscow (Russia), which has also seen the latter invading Ukraine.

While in the country, the prime minister paid a visit to the monument to World War II heroes, where he laid a floral wreath with the assistance of federal ministers Asad Umar, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and others.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan landed in Moscow for a two-day official visit at the request of Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the Pakistani government.

The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov welcomed Prime Minister Imran Khan upon his arrival at Moscow International Airport. A guard of honor was provided to the Russian prime minister upon his arrival by the Russian military forces.

It has been announced that the bilateral summit between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Russian President Vladimir Putin will be the highlight of the visit, which follows a schedule issued by the Foreign Office.


Prime Minister Khan will discuss international and regional issues with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his meeting with the Russian leader. They will also discuss bilateral relations, with a particular emphasis on cooperation in the energy industry.

Questions about Islamophobia and the situation in Afghanistan will also be discussed at the event. In addition, the Prime Minister will pay a visit to the largest mosque in Russia as well as the Islamic Center in Moscow. The visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to Russia will help to boost bilateral relations between the two countries.
