Farrukh Habib, the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, stated on Saturday that the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will award approximately three million scholarships to deserving students over the next three years.
“The government will grant 2.6 million merit-based scholarships worth Rs28 billion to deserving students,” Farrukh Habib declared at the Faisalabad’s convocation.
The minister went on to state that 7 million people are receiving benefits from the flagship Ehsaas Program, and that Prime Minister Imran Khan had already opened a portal for registering concerns pertaining to scholarship awards across the country.
He went on to say that the PTI government is creating three technical universities in Punjab and that it will grant 200,000 HEC scholarships to deserving students.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, on Thursday, launched a portal dedicated to the registration of complaints about educational subsidies.
When linked to the Prime Minister Citizen Portal, the facility would assist scholarship holders in registering concerns about the challenges they are experiencing on a regular basis.
Last month, Prime Minister Khan declared that his administration will launch 6 million scholarships worth Rs47 billion in the near future to assist students from lower-income families.
He made the announcement while responding to questions from the general public live on air during a program called “Aap Ka Wazir e Azam, Aap Kay Saath,” which was broadcast on Pakistan Television.
According to the Prime Minister, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration has set aside Rs47 billion for six million educational scholarships to be distributed on the basis of merit to students.
