Bollywood’s famous singer and musician Bappi Lahiri died at the age of 69 in Mumbai. According to Director of hospital, Bappi had several health problems. His death occured due to OSA shortly before midnight.
According to media reports, Bappi was undergoing treatment at the hospital from the past one month. He had various health problems but he discharged from the hospital on Monday. His health condition deteriorated again and he has rushed to hospital again. Whereas, Bappi Lahiri could not recover and last night he breathed his last and died.
Bappi Lahiri was a big name in the Indian music industry and one of the most influential figures of Indian film music. He has also known as the pioneer of Bollywood discos of the 80’s and 90’s. Apart from Hindi, he also rendered invaluable services to Bengali cinema.
He has sung many super hit songs in his career, including songs from the movie ‘Disco Dancer’ and ‘Namak Halal’. Bappi Lahiri also sang many of his own compositions the song ‘Pyaar Bana China Kahan’ from the movie ‘Sahib’. Apart from his music, he has also known for wearing heavy gold chains and sunglasses. Both of which were the hallmarks of his personality.
