Johnny Depp drew thousands of responses on an Instagram post to promote his upcoming film ‘Minamata‘. On the Facebook-owned application, Depp’s shot has liked by almost a million people, but no major Hollywood celebrity was among them.
The Johnny Depp said on Instagram post with many images from the film, “In 2019, shortly before the pandemic arrived, we made a film. We were providing a voice to those who have none. Today, it seems more vital than ever to focus on such a subject.”
“The people of Minamata, who are both lovely and courageous are in my thoughts and prayers. Their tale is now available to watch in cinemas around the country”, he added.
He asked his Instagram followers to see his new movie ‘Minamata’ which is currently playing in cinemas across the US.
When Johnny Depp has sued in London last year, it seemed to be the last straw in his dwindling career as a big movie star. Jack Sparrow actor has filed a lawsuit against a British newspaper for calling him a wife abuser.
Refusing to appeal would be stupid for Depp. Whereas, attorneys called the verdict as perverse as it is baffling and said it will be ridiculous not to do so.
