Fans of actor Qazi Wajid remembering him on his 5th death anniversary

Qazi AbdulWajid Ansari was the true name of Qazi Wajid. He was born in 1943 and moved to Karachi with his family when Pakistan has formed. At the age of ten, he began his creative career. In the children’s television show ‘Nau-Nahal,’ he first demonstrated the core of his voice acting.

For more than two decades, he was a fixture on the radio, drawing listeners in with his mesmerising voice. Qazi Wajid joined Pakistan Television in the 1960s. “One Way” was the first television show in which he had a negative part.

Many of Qazi’s roles on television were recurring ones. He is well known for his parts in “Sunshine, Unspeakable, Loneliness, Eve’s Daughter, and Anarkali.

87-year-old Qazi Wajid died on February 11, 2018, in Karachi after a heart attack, according to his family. On August 14, 1988, the Pakistan’s government awarded him the Presidential Medal of Excellence for his outstanding contributions to the arts.
