Grenade blast in Karachi Lyari causes one injured

On Thursday, a grenade blast in the Bihar Colony neighborhood of Karachi’s Lyari town resulted in the injury of at least one person.

After cordoning off the area around the explosion site, police went to the scene and began gathering evidence.

According to the original report, authorities have established that the blast was caused by a grenade. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was dispatched to the Lyari town in order to determine the nature of the explosion.

At least one individual was hurt as a result of the grenade explosion.

At the beginning of January, police in Karachi successfully disrupted a terror plot and found 20 hand grenades that had been hidden inside a shopping cart in the Garden neighborhood.

According to SSP City Sarfaraz Nawaz, police officers discovered a shopper who was in possession of 20 hand grenades in a waste dump in the Dhobi Ghat neighborhood of Garden.

The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) officials were able to prevent the sabotage attempts by defusing a hand grenade that had been found from Dhobi Ghat. According to BDS, they discovered explosive material as well as a ball bearing from the hand grenades they had discovered.

Following the cordoning off of the area, Rangers and police contingents commenced a search operation in the region. The surrounding surroundings were scoured with the assistance of law enforcement authorities’ smelling dogs that had been specially trained.

An employee of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) was promptly notified after a waste scavenger discovered the hand grenades at Dhobi Ghat and instantly informed the authorities.
