Robbers were successful in taking down an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in Karachi, but their plan was halted by a timely call to the police.
Following the incident’s specifics, the robbery attempt was reported in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 3 near Disco Bakery, in which a group of robbers managed to uproot an ATM and were putting it onto a mini truck when a police team arrived.
When the thieves realized they were being pursued by authorities, they fled the area by abandoning the truck with the ATM machine. The police claimed they received a complaint from a civilian in Madadgar 15 reporting that a group of criminals was attempting to lift an Automated Teller Machine (ATM).
After receiving information, the police team arrived and stopped the assassination attempt in its tracks. The police have initiated a search for the robbers in order to capture them.
Meanwhile, police said they apprehended a man who was attempting to break into an automated teller machine (ATM) of a private bank in Karachi prestigious Defence Housing Authority (DHA) neighborhood when he was caught red-handed.
A suspected robber, identified as Munawar Hussain, was claimed to have entered an ATM booth of a private bank in the Murtaza Commercial area with the intent of stealing money.
