Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP), have arrived at the residence of PML-N Leader Shahbaz Sharif.
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and leader Hamza Shahbaz Sharif are also said to be in attendance at the meeting with PPP leader, according to sources.
Meanwhile, key PML-N figures such as Khawaja Saad Rafique and Marriyum Aurangzeb are in attendance, as is the whole PML-N leadership.
Leaders of both political parties are meeting in the Parliament to discuss the political situation in the country, the anti-government movement, and the parties’ future strategy.
Also being discussed, is the possibility of presenting a no-confidence resolution against the government in parliament.
In addition to welcoming the father-son team to his residence, PML-N leader Shahbaz Sharif made certain that all COVID-19 SOPs were followed.
It is important to highlight here that Shahbaz contacted Bilawal on Friday and asked him to a luncheon meeting at the request of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the same day as the meeting.
On February 27, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has declared that it will lead a long march against the PTI administration from Karachi to Islamabad.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has vowed to continue its long march against rising prices on March 23rd, despite opposition from the government (Pakistan Day).
Prior to this, Asif Ali Zardari had dismissed the notion of being a member of the anti-government PDM alliance, stating, “I don’t believe that it would happen.”
Zardari had also stated that the PDM had marched in the past, but that these marches had not resulted in the overthrow of the government.
