Artist Ahtisham Ali accuses Peshawar Zalmi for stealing his Design

Peshawar Zalmi, a Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise, has been accused of stealing a design for its items from an independent graphic artist Ahtisham Ali.

Peshawar Zalmi, unquestionably the most well-known brand in Pakistan Super League, has always been at the forefront of product marketing and promotion.

These marketing methods are recognised, and include a specialised merchandise store that sells a clothing line as well as fragrances and technology products.

A statement from the artist Ahtisham Ali was posted on Twitter, revealing that Peshawar Zalmi had been utilising his ‘Markhor‘ design on their items without obtaining his permission. Ahtisham claimed that Peshawar Zalmi did not seek his permission before utilising his idea and that the company has been selling the product for more than a year without consulting him.

The remark sparked a flurry of activity on Twitter, with many people expressing their support for Ahtisham. The majority of people called on the owner of Peshawar Zalmi, Javed Afridi, to look into the situation.

However a large number of people were not astonished by Zalmi’s activities, claiming that it was standard procedure for Pakistani brands.
