According to the frightening occurrence, which took place in the town of Hagerstown, a wife asked her husband to pick up chickens from the local grocery store; however, upon his return, he had a bag full of lottery tickets totaling $1,000,000 in his possession.
The 52-year-old man told Maryland Lottery officials that his wife had asked him to acquire chickens from a local market so that they could cook something tasty for the family’s meal that night.
As soon as they arrived, they purchased a lottery ticket for 10 10 from a lottery vending machine. He claimed that when he scratched a lottery ticket after eating, he initially mistook the numbers on the ticket for something else.
He thought he had written a ten and assumed he would get the money back, but when he looked closely, he discovered that he had written a hundred thousand dollars.
The lady said that her husband had gleefully used some foul language that was not healthy for the children, and that we had the impression that he was furious or unhappy about something.
He claimed that he would now be able to take out low-interest loans with the money, go on a stroll, repair his home, and perhaps even get a new television with it.
