According to the resolution’s content, Mirza Shahzad Akbar has been accused of receiving a large sum of money as a result of the Broadsheet scandal. Specifically, the resolution’s text stated that “he followed victims in the name of accountability.”
It was written in the text that “the cases filed by him against the opposition leaders proved to be a bundle of lies.”
The inclusion of Shahzad Akbar’s name in the ECL is demanded by the resolution.
On the microblogging site Twitter, he announced his retirement from his position as advisor to the prime minister.
Shahzad Akbar was appointed as the Prime Minister’s advisor on accountability and internal affairs in December of this year.
PML-N leader Atta Tarar claimed that Shahzad Akbar, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s adviser on accountability and the interior, will step down.
Following the appointment of a new accountability adviser by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Tarar alleged that Shahzad Akbar was currently standing at the departure door of the Prime Minister’s office.
